These Terms of Service explain how you can purchase and take part in Food Escapes experiences. By using our website, creating an account, or buying an Escape, you agree to these Terms with Food Escapes, operated by Curated Curiosity Ltd (“Food Escapes”, “we”, “us”)

Within this document an 'Escape(s)' refers to the experiences sold on our website.

1. About Food Escapes

Food Escapes provides self guided food based activities that combine real venues, city exploration and interactive challenges. When you purchase an Escape, you are buying access to book and take part in that experience on a future available date and time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 to make a purchase. Participants under 18 are welcome to take part. The person who makes the purchase accepts responsibility for the conduct and safety of everyone included in the booking, whether or not they attend in person.

3. Accounts and Access

To book and manage an Escape, you need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Purchases, Pricing and Validity

Prices are shown in GBP and may change at any time before purchase. Taxes are included where stated at checkout.

Purchasing an Escape gives you access to book a date and time for that specific experience, subject to availability. Unless stated otherwise, your Escape must be booked and used within 12 months from the date of purchase.

5. Booking and Attendance

You are responsible for selecting a suitable date and time. Availability may vary depending on venue partners and operational requirements.

You must arrive at the starting point at your booked time and follow the instructions shown during the experience. Missed bookings, or unused places are treated as a no show and are not refundable or exchangeable.

6. Refunds, Exchanges and Booking Changes

Refunds, exchanges and booking change rules are set out in our Returns and Refunds policy. That policy forms part of these Terms.

If you purchased your Escape through a third party website, marketplace or partner, any refund request must be made with the original seller. We cannot issue refunds for third party purchases.

7. Food, Allergies and Dietary Requirements

Food Escapes works with independent venues. Menu items, ingredients and preparation methods are controlled by each venue. We cannot guarantee allergen free environments.

Any allergen or dietary notes shown on a product page reflect information provided by venues at the time of publishing and may change. Each participant is responsible for checking directly with venues on the day and deciding whether a venue and its food is suitable for them.

8. Alcohol Focused Escapes

Any Escape described as alcohol focused, including experiences such as craft beer or cocktails, is strictly for participants aged 18 and over. This applies even where non alcoholic options may be available during parts of the experience.

Some Escapes include venues that are strictly 18+ due to licensing or entry policies. If an Escape includes any 18+ venues, it is not suitable for children and entry may be refused by the venue.

9. Safety and Personal Responsibility

Escapes take place in public spaces. You are responsible for your own safety and awareness of your surroundings. Please follow local laws, respect venues, and behave responsibly at all times.

10. Third Party Venues and Service Changes

Food Escapes works with independent restaurants and venues. These locations operate as separate businesses and are responsible for their own service, opening times and menu offerings. While we carefully curate our partners, we are not responsible for the actions or performance of third party venues.

Occasionally, venues or stops may change due to operational circumstances outside our control. If this happens, we will aim to provide a suitable alternative of comparable value so your experience can continue as intended.

11. Intellectual Property

All content, challenges, text, branding and digital materials provided as part of Food Escapes are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not copy, distribute, publish, resell, or reproduce any part of an Escape without written permission.

12. Website Use

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt to access restricted systems, interfere with the platform, or use automated tools to scrape or copy content. We may suspend or restrict access where we reasonably believe there has been misuse, fraud, or a breach of these Terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

We do our best to deliver a great experience, but some things are outside our control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Food Escapes is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, travel costs, missed bookings, lost enjoyment, loss of opportunity, or issues caused by third party venues.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it cannot legally be limited under UK law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

14. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may update, improve or modify the games, routes or venue partners where needed. Any significant changes will aim to maintain an experience of equal value. We may also update these Terms from time to time by posting a new version on our website.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
