Really good fun. Did this for my birthday with my other half and really enjoyed it and was stuffed by the end of it. Can’t wait to try one of the other ones.

We had such a fantastic time doing the Taco Food Escape Experience! Four over-50s girls enjoying a day out to celebrate a birthday — and what a great day we had!
The clues and hints were really comprehensive, and we loved that we could do it at our own pace, especially as one of our group can’t walk for long without needing a stop.
All the food stops were delicious, and the whole experience was so well thought out and organised. We had such good fun and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something a little different.
We’ll definitely be doing another one!

We had a fun afternoon solving clues and eating tacos. A great way to discover more of the city we live in and different food places.
Loved our walking tour round Manchester, complimented by tasty food! Fun chance to get our bearings of the city & have some grub too.

A group of us did this on a Saturday night and I think that was our first error. It started great, the clues were the ideal level of hard and we found our first place easy. They fit us in nicely although they weren't expecting us, and this continued. We arrived at our second spot and almost got turned away. The restaurant staff didn't know about us, only the kitchen and there were no reserved spots. Thankfully our friend spotted a table and we were in! We arrived to our last spot quite late and because of that, the food options were limited. Still tasty but a shame to miss out on the famous options. I think most of our issues were because of our Saturday night scheduling, which shouldn't reaaaally be an option. Would be interesting to try during the day to see if there's similar issues.
Hi Hannah, Aaron here, founder of Food Escapes and will aim to cover everything in this reply! Firstly, I'm glad it seems the game and clues were fun, thanks for sharing that! But the last stop not having everything on is not ideal - I've just spoken to the owners as it's the first time that's happened and they said they had an unexpectedly big Saturday (happy for them!) but of course that impacted your experience and I'm really sorry about this, the time you arrived shouldn't have affected this. Going backwards then to the 2nd stop, I appreciate the feedback too. You may have missed in the instructions to go straight to the kitchen on this one as it's a multi-vendor establishment but I'm going to make that clearer too. As for restaurants 'not knowing', I assume here you mean you didn't have a reservation for you (as they all will have served your food knowing what food escapes is), but food escapes are walk-in games. We support and work with independent restaurants that can always accommodate a walk-in not by reservation, but perhaps this is different to what you were expecting and I'm going to think about ways to make this clearer too. Saturday nights are busy of course in hospitality, but even as a larger group playing on Saturday night, without reservations, you were still seated in all establishments which I'm happy to hear as it's as designed! I believe you'll receive this review via email as well automatically, and I would appreciate if you have any further feedback on this too or if I've misinterpreted anything you said. The hunt was really fun, we started in the rain which is pants, but it cleared up as it's not be great in the wind and rain.
It's fair value, and the tacos were all different and pudding at the end was very welcome.
Hi Matthew, we'll have a word with the rain next time in advance! Appreciate sometimes a plan is already made but we'll always allow free rescheduling up to midnight the night before giving you chance to check the weather for the next day and move if you want to. Sounds like you still made the best of it, thanks for the review :)
Food was amazing in all 3 places however the second place could have been a bit quicker with serving the food and staff could have been friendlier

Lots of fun. Great clues and just the right level of interactivity. Plus the food was bloody delicious! Strong recommend!
This is our first food escape and we loved it! The puzzles were fun and not too difficult and the food was amazing. We are sad that this is the only food escape that can cater for Gluten free but we are delighted that there is one!
Our first location, food was the best but unfortunately they said they were too busy to seat us inside so we had to sit outside and have our tacos in a takeaway box.
Second location tacos were tasty but the time of day meant really limited seating as most tables had reservation signs on them.
Last location, when we eventually got to it, tacos and churros were tasty.
Clues throughout were a mix of simple and tricky. We definitely walked through wrong way at one point and that cost us some time. Would recommend to others but would suggest to do them at quieter periods of the day or on a Sunday

Visited 3 different dining spots and they were all fantastic and couldnt actually pick a favourite as all good.
Quiz along the route was fun. Went for harder and a couple did take two try’s
Absolutely worth it great food and a great way to get out and about and see things you wouldn't normal see would 100% recommend it.

Our group had really good fun and thought the food stops were good in terms of quality and quantity if food. I liked that we saw new places and things as part of solving the clues. This is a really great idea!

Run very well and easy interface to use. We had lots of fun exploring the city and it was just the right length for us. Some of the clues were tricky so we ended up off track at point, but overall enjoyable and very good food
