How do escapes work?

This Craft Beer Escape is a new puzzle game in the city. A series of clues are sent to you via WhatsApp and must be solved in the real world, with answers hidden in the streets, buildings and little details around you.

As you solve the clues correctly, they guide you through the city and unlock 3 different delicious stops serving craft beer along the way, a pint* is included at every stop. (*May be less than a pint, depending on what you chose. Some craft beers are served as 2/3s or 1/2s due to strength, depends on the brewery)

You should allow 3 hours in total, including time to relax and drink at each stop and complete the Escape.

WHAT EXACTLY IS INCLUDED IN THE TICKET PRICE? ›

Drinks at every stop are included in the ticket price. This is a drinks game, so no food is included here although you may choose to buy additional food while on your journey. There are 3 stops per Escape at 3 different drinking establishments.

They are all partnered with us and will know you're coming. Come thirsty(!) but drink responsibility. If you are too drunk, the venues have a legal responsibility to not serve you any more alcohol.

CAN WE START AN ESCAPE ANY TIME WE WANT? ›

Pretty much! When you buy the Escape from our website it's a bit like a voucher. Once you've got the voucher, you can use it to book any date and time you'd like.

There are a wide range of times available to start from early through to late night. We work with restaurants with long opening hours so it's fully flexible for you. Your confirmation email after purchase will explain how to book.

And because it's a voucher, if you need to reschedule for any reason, you can do so an unlimited number of times up to midnight the night before your booking free of charge! We wanted to make it as flexible as possible for you.

CAN I CHOOSE WHAT I DRINK ON THE ESCAPE? ›

In most cases yes.

At some stops you can choose from a selection of speciality drinks, and at others you'll have full choice of what's on the menu. We've curated the journey so you get an wide range of choices across the venues.

I HAVE DIETARY REQUIREMENTS, CAN YOU ACCOMODATE THEM? ›

Yes. On our All Escapes page, use the filters to enter your dietary requirements. It will only show you Escapes which are suitable to your dietary needs.

For this escape specifically, go up the page and click the 'Allergens / Dietary?' box.

After purchase when you place your booking, you will have an opportunity to further enter dietary requirements.

No physical host is involved. All you need is WhatsApp! Everything will be sent to you, you'll just need to solve the clues and drink!

I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A PUZZLE GAME, BUT WHAT IF I GET STUCK? ›

Everything you need is delivered to you via WhatsApp as you go. You can ask for hints, answers, and clear directions if you get lost - but these will add a time penalty to your final score, so up to you how much you use them!
